CVE-2024-35942

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the Linux kernel, where the fdcc clock is part of hdmi rx verification IP and should not be enabled for HDMI TX. However, if the clock is disabled before HDMI/LCDIF probe, LCDIF will not get the pixel clock from HDMI PHY, resulting in error logs, including a vblank wait timed out warning. The error occurs at drivers/gpu/drm/drm atomic helper.c:1634 in the drm atomic helper wait for vblanks.part.0+0x23c/0x260 function. To fix the issue, the fdcc clock needs to be added to LCDIF and HDMI TX power domains.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
