CVE-2024-36024

CVSS v3.1

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a race condition in the Linux kernel where DMCUB is committing to IPS1 during the handshake, causing a transition into IPS2 to be missed and resulting in a HW hang. This occurs due to back-to-back wake and executes. The problem is addressed by disabling the idle reallow as part of command/gpint execution to ensure a sufficient gap between entry and exit.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
