Description The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'sharethis-inline-button' shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. The injected scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the injected page.

Recommendations For ShareThis Share Buttons plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.3.0, update to a version later than 2.3.0 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'sharethis-inline-button' shortcode to prevent exploitation.
