Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ElementsKit Elementor addons plugin for WordPress versions 3.0.7 through 3.1.2
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Image Accordion widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions 3.0.7 through 3.1.2, consider disabling the Image Accordion widget until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that may have been injected with malicious scripts to minimize the risk of execution. Avoid using the Image Accordion widget in sensitive areas of the website until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
