CVE-2024-3671

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Print-O-Matic plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.1.10
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'print-me' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes such as tag. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.1.10, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'print-me' shortcode or disabling it until a patch is available. Restrict contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation.
