CVE-2024-3724

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Happy Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.10.4
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Image Stack Group, Photo Stack, & Horizontal Timeline widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes, such as attributes from users. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, potentially through API endpoints like "/wp-admin/admin.php" or "/wp-admin/post.php".
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.10.4, update to a version that includes the necessary input sanitization and output escaping fixes to prevent the injection of arbitrary web scripts. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Image Stack Group, Photo Stack, & Horizontal Timeline widgets for users with contributor-level access and above until a patch is available.
