CVE-2024-3743

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Elementor Addon Elements plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.13.3
Description The Elementor Addon Elements plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Image Stack Group, Shape Separator, Content Switcher, Info Circle, and Timeline widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor access or higher, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.13.3, update to a version higher than 1.13.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Image Stack Group, Shape Separator, Content Switcher, Info Circle, and Timeline widgets until a patch is available. Restrict contributor access or higher to minimize the risk of exploitation.
