CVE-2024-3806

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Porto theme for WordPress versions up to and including 7.1.0
Description The issue allows unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary files on the server via the porto ajax posts function, enabling the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where PHP file types can be uploaded and included.
Recommendations For versions up to and including 7.1.0, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the porto ajax posts function until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive files and directories to minimize the risk of exploitation. Update to a version later than 7.1.0 when available.
