CVE-2024-3809

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Porto Theme - Functionality plugin for WordPress versions prior to 3.0.10
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to include and execute arbitrary files on the server via the slideshow type post meta. This enables the execution of any PHP code in those files, potentially bypassing access controls, obtaining sensitive data, or achieving code execution if PHP file types can be uploaded and included.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.0.10, update to version 3.0.10 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the slideshow type post meta to minimize the risk of exploitation.
