| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
tagDiv Composer plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.8
Description
The issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to include and execute arbitrary files on the server via the 'td block title' shortcode 'block template id' attribute. This enables the execution of any PHP code in those files, which can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where PHP file types can be uploaded and included.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 4.8, consider disabling the 'td block title' shortcode or restricting the use of the 'block template id' attribute until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive files and directories to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the 'block template id' attribute in the 'td block title' shortcode until the issue is resolved.
