CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the serial driver max3100 in the Linux kernel. The function uart handle cts change() needs to be called with the port lock taken, but since it is run in a separate work, the lock may not be taken at the time of running. This can cause a splat warning. The uart handle cts change() function is called without explicitly taking the port lock, which can lead to issues.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
