| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tenda AC500 version 2.0.1.9(1307)
Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the
fromDhcpListClient function of the /goform/DhcpListClient file. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted POST request to execute arbitrary code. The manipulation of the page argument leads to this buffer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely.Recommendations
For Tenda AC500 version 2.0.1.9(1307), as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
fromDhcpListClient function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /goform/DhcpListClient endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the page argument in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
