Description A Path Traversal vulnerability in the web component of Ivanti Avalanche allows a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands as SYSTEM. The issue is related to incorrect restriction of the path name to a directory with limited access. This can enable a remote attacker to exploit the vulnerability and gain elevated privileges.

Recommendations For versions prior to 6.4.3, update to version 6.4.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web component of Ivanti Avalanche to minimize the risk of exploitation.
