| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Bulk Posts Editing For WordPress plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.2.3
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the plugin's AJAX actions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to create and duplicate posts, retrieve post content, and modify post taxonomy by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 4.2.3, update to a version that includes proper nonce validation for the plugin's AJAX actions to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's AJAX actions until a patch is available.
