CVE-2024-42074

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a null pointer dereference in the snd acp resume() function when the chip pdev structure is null. This occurs when the acp platform device creation is skipped, causing the chip->chip pdev value to remain null. To avoid this, a null check has been added for the chip pdev structure.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
