Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the idxd component of the Linux kernel and involves the recording of pasid when a device is shut down. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to impact the integrity of protected information. The problem arises because the current code leaves MSIX enabled and pasid entries programmed at device shutdown. To address this, disabling or clearing MSIX permission entries on device shutdown has been implemented to mirror the enabling of MSIX entries on probe.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
