Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the nilfs2 component of the Linux kernel, where a buffer state inconsistency was detected in the
nilfs btnode create block() function, triggering a kernel bug. This inconsistency can occur if the argument block address is a virtual block number and has been reallocated due to corruption of the bitmap used to manage its allocation state. The function and its callers have been modified to treat this inconsistency as a possible filesystem error rather than a kernel bug.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
