Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The vulnerability is related to the f2fs component of the Linux kernel and is caused by incorrect handling of return values. If a device is readonly, the
f2fs convert inline inode() function may return zero instead of EROFS, potentially triggering a panic during the writeback of an inline inode's dirty page. The issue is resolved by making f2fs convert inline inode() return EROFS when the device is readonly.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
