Description
The issue is a stack overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted POST request. It occurs through the
PPPOEPassword parameter in the fromAdvSetWan function.Recommendations
For Tenda FH1201 version 1.2.0.14 (408), as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
fromAdvSetWan function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the PPPOEPassword parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the PPPOEPassword parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
