Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tenda FH1206 version 02.03.01.35
Description
The issue is related to a stack overflow vulnerability via the
modino parameter in the fromPptpUserAdd function. This allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted POST request.Recommendations
For Tenda FH1206 version 02.03.01.35, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
fromPptpUserAdd function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the modino parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the modino parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
