CVE-2024-4312

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Soccer Engine – Soccer Plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.12
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation when saving match and team settings. This allows unauthenticated attackers to change plugin settings, teams, players, etc. by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.12, update to a version that includes proper nonce validation to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's settings page to minimize the risk of exploitation.
