CVE-2024-4318

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Tutor LMS plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.7.0
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with Instructor-level permissions and above to perform time-based SQL Injection via the question id parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This enables attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.7.0, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the question id parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.

Fix

SQL injection
