Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A null pointer dereference issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The issue occurs in the
lpfc xcvr data show function, where a memory allocation with kmalloc might fail, making rdp context a null pointer. This leads to dereferencing operations on the null pointer, resulting in a null pointer dereference. To fix this issue, a null pointer check should be added, and if the pointer is null, scnprintf should be used to notify the user and return the length.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
