Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Envo Extra plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.8.16
Description
The Envo Extra plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via multiple parameters due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.8.16, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issues to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting contributor-level permissions and above to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
