6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Gallery Block (Meow Gallery) plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.1.3
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, specifically via the data atts parameter. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For Gallery Block (Meow Gallery) plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.1.3: Update to a version that includes patches for the Stored Cross-Site Scripting issue, ensuring proper input sanitization and output escaping for the data atts parameter. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting contributor-level permissions to minimize the risk of exploitation.
