VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the s390/fpu component of the Linux kernel, where exception handling for the lfpc instruction within the load fpu state() function was removed during a recent code rewrite. This removal caused loading invalid floating point register values to result in an unhandled specification exception. The exception handling has been re-added to prevent this issue.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
