CVE-2024-4401

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Elementor Addon Elements plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.13.5
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages via the id and eae slider animation parameters. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.13.5, update to a version later than 1.13.5 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the id and eae slider animation parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation.
