CVE-2024-4443

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Business Directory Plugin – Easy Listing Directories for WordPress plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 6.4.2
Description The issue is related to time-based SQL Injection via the listingfields parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 6.4.2, consider disabling the listingfields parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive database information to minimize the risk of data extraction. As a temporary workaround, ensure proper input validation and sanitization for the listingfields parameter to prevent SQL injection attacks.
