CVE-2024-4452

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ElementsKit Pro plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.6.1
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the url parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.6.1, update the plugin to a version higher than 3.6.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the url parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, limiting contributor-level permissions may also help reduce the attack surface until a patch is applied.
