Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Jeg Elementor Kit plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.6.5
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the sg general toggle tab enable and sg accordion style attributes within the plugin's JKit - Tabs and JKit - Accordion widget. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.6.5, consider disabling the JKit - Tabs and JKit - Accordion widget until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to these widgets to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection. Avoid using the
sg general toggle tab enable and sg accordion style attributes in the affected widgets until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
