CVE-2024-4482

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Plus Addons for Elementor versions up to, and including, 5.6.1
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'Countdown' widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the user-supplied text days attribute. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 5.6.1, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the 'Countdown' widget until a patch is available. Restrict access to pages that use the 'Countdown' widget to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the text days attribute in the 'Countdown' widget until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
