CVE-2024-44821

CVSS v3.1

5.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ZZCMS 2023
Description The issue is related to the captcha reuse logic in ZZCMS 2023, specifically in the /inc/function.php file. The checkyzm function does not properly refresh the captcha value after a failed validation attempt. This allows an attacker to exploit the flaw by repeatedly submitting the same incorrect captcha response, capturing the correct captcha value through error messages.
Recommendations For ZZCMS 2023, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the checkyzm function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /inc/function.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the captcha feature in the affected ZZCMS version until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
