CVE-2024-4485

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Plus Addons for Elementor – Elementor Addons, Page Templates, Widgets, Mega Menu, WooCommerce plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.5.2
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages via the button custom attributes parameter. The injected scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 5.5.2, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the button custom attributes parameter to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection.
