Description
The vulnerability is related to the
dpu format populate layout() function in the Linux kernel, which fails to clean up the FB when it fails, causing a leak of the pin count on the GEM object. This results in a splat during DRM file closure. The issue is identified by a call trace that includes functions such as update lru locked(), put pages(), and msm gem free object(). The vulnerability is resolved in upstream kernel version 6.6.50.Recommendations
