| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
LayerSlider plugin for WordPress version 7.11.0
Description:
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's ls search form shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations:
For version 7.11.0, consider disabling the ls search form shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the shortcode for users with contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection.
