CVE-2024-4580

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: The Master Addons – Free Widgets, Hover Effects, Toggle, Conditions, Animations for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.6.0
Description: The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 2.0.6.0, update the plugin to a version that addresses the Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting contributor-level permissions to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
