| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Cleanlab versions 2.4.0 or newer
Description:
The issue is related to the deserialization of untrusted data, which can occur in the Cleanlab project. This allows a maliciously crafted
datalab.pkl file to run arbitrary code on an end user's system when the data directory is loaded.Recommendations:
For versions 2.4.0 or newer, consider avoiding the use of untrusted data in the deserialization process until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the data directory to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
