CVE-2024-4636

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Image Optimization by Optimole – Lazy Load, CDN, Convert WebP & AVIF plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.12.10
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the allow meme types function due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.12.10, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the allow meme types function to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
