Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Element Pack Elementor Addons plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.7.1
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the
end redirect link parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 5.7.1, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
end redirect link parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure that contributor-level permissions and above are carefully managed to reduce the potential for authenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts.Fix
