CVE-2024-4667

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Blog, Posts and Category Filter for Elementor plugin for WordPress version 1.0.3 and earlier
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Post and Category Filter widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the user-supplied post types attribute. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions 1.0.3 and earlier, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Post and Category Filter widget to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the post types attribute in the affected widget until the issue is resolved.
