CVE-2024-46829

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the rtmutex in the Linux kernel, where the rt mutex handle deadlock() function is called with rt mutex::wait lock held. In the deadlock case, it emits a warning and goes into an endless scheduling loop with the lock held, triggering the 'scheduling in atomic' warning. The fix involves unlocking rt mutex::wait lock in the dead lock case before issuing the warning and dropping into the schedule loop.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
