Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the btrfs file system. The issue involved the function
btrfs lookup extent info() in walk down proc(), where an ENOMEM error was not handled properly, leading to a BUG ON condition. The error handling has been improved to return the error instead of triggering a fatal condition. The ENOMEM error is not fatal and is now handled correctly.Recommendations
