CVE-2024-46843

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue occurs when a host attempts to remove the ufshcd driver from a UFS device, potentially causing a kernel panic if ufshcd async scan fails during ufshcd probe hba before adding a SCSI host with scsi add host and MCQ is enabled. This happens because the SCSI host has been deferred after MCQ configuration, introduced by a specific commit. To resolve this, the scsi host added flag is set to true after adding a SCSI host and checked before removing it.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
