CVE-2024-46846

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the Rockchip SPI PM handling in the Linux kernel. A commit stopped respecting runtime PM status and simply disabled clocks unconditionally when suspending the system, causing problems when the device is already runtime suspended. This results in double-disabled clocks and produces a warning. The fix involves switching back to pm runtime force {suspend,resume}() and refactoring some of the resume() error handling.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
