Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been identified where the DMCUB can intermittently take longer than expected to process commands, leading to a potential race condition. This issue arises when the old ASIC policy continues while logging a diagnostic error, which can cause a system hang or register accesses that timeout, resulting in an undefined display configuration state. The risk of this issue is minimal at higher interrupt levels.
