VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Tenda AC500 version V2.0.1.9(1307)
Description The issue is related to a stack overflow vulnerability in the fromDhcpListClient() function, which is accessible through the /goform/DhcpListClient API endpoint. This vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow in memory when processing the LISTLEN parameter. Exploitation of this issue can allow a remote attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information by sending a specially crafted request.
Recommendations For Tenda AC500 version V2.0.1.9(1307), consider disabling the fromDhcpListClient() function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /goform/DhcpListClient API endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the LISTLEN parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
