CVE-2024-4700

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The WP Table Builder – WordPress Table Plugin versions up to, and including, 1.4.14
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the button element due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. By default, this can only be exploited by administrators, but the ability to use and configure WP Table Builder can be extended to contributors.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.4.14, update to a version later than 1.4.14 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the WP Table Builder plugin configuration to minimize the risk of exploitation, especially for contributors.
