Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been fixed, specifically in the f2fs filesystem. The issue was related to direct IO inconsistency, where previous direct write IO may overwrite data in a block that could be reused by other inodes. The fix ensures that all existing direct write IOs are waited for before block removal.
