Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 6.6.58
Description
A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel related to RDMA/hns, where the function
spin unlock irqrestore() was called with IRQs enabled, and there was a misuse of spin lock irq()/spin unlock irq() when spin lock irqsave()/spin lock irqrestore() was held. This issue was discovered through lock debugging and is associated with a warning log indicating raw local irq restore() was called with IRQs enabled. The call trace includes functions such as warn bogus irq restore(), raw spin unlock irqrestore(), and add qp to list().Recommendations
To resolve this issue, update the Linux kernel to version 6.6.58 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the RDMA/hns module until the update can be applied.
