Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Intel(R) Thunderbolt(TM) DCH drivers for Windows versions prior to 88
Description
The issue is related to improper buffer restrictions in some Intel(R) Thunderbolt(TM) DCH drivers for Windows, which may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access. The vulnerability is also described as being related to the incorrect neutralization of special elements in output, which could allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 88, update to version 88 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting local access to minimize the risk of exploitation.
